Partnering with Staramba
November 11, 2015 —
We are collaborating with 3D printing and data specialist Staramba GmbH, a subsidiary of the Social Commerce Group
SE. The aim of the cooperation is to bridge the gap between consumer 3D scanning and 3D printing. The first joint app launch is slated for November 23rd.
Berlin based start-up Staramba is the world leader in the production of photorealistic 3D printed figurines of stars from sports, music, TV, and entertainment. Their portfolio contains, among others, FC Bayern Munich, Arsenal London, Linkin Park, and Slash. “It is the attention to detail that earns Staramba the trust of so many stars”, mentions Dr. Peter Weigand, CEO of Dacuda. “The 3D figurines are more realistic and lifelike than anything else we have seen.”
Dacuda’s patented SLAM Scan® 3D software camera turns any regular smartphone into a powerful 3D scanner by simply installing an app. “Dacuda’s technology is groundbreaking and enables any fan to create high quality 3D models that are 3D printable” said Christian Daudert, CEO of Staramba.
On November 23rd in Berlin, the first joint project between Dacuda and Staramba will be unveiled: an app which brings fans closer to their stars than ever before.
